Matter Just Matters: What is the weak force? What role does it play, and how does it work? Besides the strong force, I had never heard of these subatomic fundamental forces, especially their purpose and how they affect us. So I stumbled across this term while learning about particle physics, and to master my way of the forces, I will need to learn about the weak force, and I am doing so excitedly. My Thoughts Before Research: My first thoughts concluded that...

The Theoretical: Do gravitons exist, or should they?

I heard the term when I was watching a video by DoS on YouTube talking about the map of particle physics, and the video had introduced the term. There, I have begun to research them a little, and it turned into a rabbit hole. We know there are a large amount of "force carriers" that we have. Like we have covered before,  the strong force is a Gluon,...

Matter Just Matters: What exactly is plasma? More specifically what is Quark Gluon Plasma, how does it work?

Matter Just Matters: What exactly is plasma? More specifically, what is Quark-Gluon Plasma? How does it work? By: Ian Davis -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Introduction: So my significant other made a mistake by saying that I was the hottest thing in the universe, wrong, just wrong; I remember this article saying that the hottest thing in the universe that we have observed was this special reaction in the chamber at CERN's Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider at Brookhaven National Laboratory where they managed to discover a type of matter called Quark-Gluon Plasma that can exist at 4-6 trillion degrees Celsius by smashing gold particles which created a 7-10 trillion degrees Fahrenheit reaction (~4 trillion degrees Celsius, which is hotter than a supernova explosion), which is just an astounding achievement for the human race as a whole. Nevertheless, what they created is truly the thin...
